The Afghan Embassy and Consular Section in Abu Dhabi handles the issuance of passports to Afghan citizens, which every Afghan can obtain based on their existing documents.
The applicant MUST visit the Consulate General in person. NO PRIOR APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED
The applicant must fill out the passport renewal form (Passport Form.pdf).
Applications sent via post or submitted in the absence of the applicant will not be processed.
5 – Year Passport: USD 120
10 – Year Passport: USD 220
Applicants must provide their verified original Tazkira along with the application.
If a child was born in India and requires an Afghan passport, the following documents must besubmitted by the parents:
Tazkira of Parents: Either the original or a copy of the parents’ Tazkira. The verification process applicable to adult applicants will also apply to the parents’ Tazkira.
Child’s Birth Certificate: The original birth certificate attested by MEA must be presented along with the application

In addition to 3 assertors, TWO adult witnesses should be present at the time of appointment along with the applicants. Both witnesses should have their proof of identities and photographs.
Three (3) recent passport-sized photographs (4×4.5 cm) with a white background.
An applicant should pay $50 for ONE application.
